I started this blog with an aim to help all those students who want to become an astronomer or astrophysicist but fail to fulfill their dreams because of the lack of information on "How to become an astronomer?"
At one point of time I was in the very same state searching for an answer to this question.  I understand how it feels when there is no proper guidance to let you know what to study and where to study to become an astronomer.  And what after becoming an astronomer such as job prospects etc...

Via this blog I will try to address these issues.  I hope that every student gets benefited.  If you have any questions that you did not find answers to, please feel free to contact me here.

    1. There are many variants of space sciences and people often get confused.
Aerospace technology deals with airplanes, spacecrafts, satellites. It is purely engineering and you work with machines. For this, you could aim for B.Tech aerospace engineering in the top institutes.
What I do on the other hand, is purely sciences. I study planets, stars, galaxies through observations taken from various telescopes. This is Astronomy.

    1. For space technology, you would want to do engineering in aerospace. There are several ways. A few are mentioned below:
      1) The straight forward approach is to get a very good percentage in the EAMCET and apply for admission in institutes that offer aerospace engineering.
      2) Score good in IIT-JEE for admission into aerospace engineering in the IITs.
      3) There is an autonomous institute https://www.iist.ac.in/. You can look into more for the admission process.

Space technology broadly involves studying the techniques for space exploration, spacecraft design/launch etc.
What I do is totally different. I study the objects (galaxies, stars) in the Universe - Astronomy.
